Better Business Development Council's Area of Focus and Objectives
The Better Business Development Council (BBDC) works toward attracting, strengthening, retaining and expanding small business in central Brevard. The Better Business Development Council (BBDC) offers business counseling, reference materials, seminars and networking opportunities. It also serves the partnership, as well as consumers and the general public by working with the Better Business Bureau of Central Florida in the adherence to ethical business practices and addressing consumer complaints. This Council hosts the bi-annual Mega Marketplace, a unique roundtable networking event, and the Business of the Year Awards. As eighty-five percent of Chamber partners are small business, this council is one of the most active and proactive within the Chamber. Membership is open to all Partners.

To strengthen and expand Central Brevard business by providing education, information, resources and facilitation of communication between businesses and consumers.

BBDC business members have made a "Pledge of Excellence" by committing to ethical business practices and to keeping a good standing with the Better Business Bureau. BBDC members are already identified with Gold Stars next to their name in the Web Directory to identify this commitment, and will also have a Gold Star next to their name in the printed 2010 Partnership Directory.

Better Business Development Council Board of Directors meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, at 8:00 a.m., in the Chamber's boardroom. The meeting is open to all the Better Business Development Council (BBDC) members and prospective members.
