Business Resource Council's Area of Focus and Objectives
The Business Resource Council (BRC) works toward attracting, strengthening, retaining and expanding small business in central Brevard. BRC offers business counseling, reference materials, seminars and networking opportunities. It also serves the partnership, as well as consumers and the general public by working with the Better Business Bureau of Central Florida in the adherence to ethical business practices and addressing consumer complaints. This Council hosts the Business Champion of the Year Awards & December's Wednesday Friendsday. As eighty-five percent of Chamber partners are small business, this council is one of the most active and proactive within the Chamber. Membership is open to all Partners.

Business Champion of the Quarter   

BRC is looking for nominations for Business Champion of the Quarter. You are invited to nominate a Chamber Partner for recognition. 

Selection will  be made based on nominations meeting the following criteria:

*Chamber Partner for 1 year

*No unresolved complaints with the BBB

*Chamber Involvement

*Community Involvement

*In business for at least 2 years

 

Winners of the Business Champion of the Quarter award are automatically submitted as nominees for the Business of the Year Awards Banquet.

BRC business members have made a "Pledge of Excellence" by committing to ethical business practices and to keeping a good standing with the Better Business Bureau.  BRC members are already identified with Gold Stars next to their name in the Partnership Directory (web & printed) to identify this commitment, and will also have a Gold Star next to their name in the printed 2011 Partnership Directory.

Annual Fee

Only $75.00 per individual for the year 

Meeting Dates
Business Resource Council Board of Directors meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, at 8:00 a.m., in the Chamber's boardroom. The meeting is open to all the Business Resource Council (BRC) members and prospective members.
