Sam’s Club Morning Mingle

  • Presented in partnership with Sam’s Club, this FREE networking opportunity encourages the business world to mingle with Non-Profit community
  • Event is held the Second Friday of every month from 8–9 AM at Sam’s Club in Cocoa
  • Non-Profit Chamber partners set up free tabletop displays at 7:30 AM
  • Organizations educate attendees about the important services their organizations offer to our community, to assist in attracting board members, volunteers, and donors
  • For-Profit partners network with exhibitors and attendees, to help build business relationships, and to learn how their local Non-Profit organizations can benefit them as well.

Non-Profit Partner Educational Seminars

  • Presented in partnership with leaders from Brevard County’s Non-Profit community
  • Offered in collaboration with educators from Barry University and FIT
  • Monthly seminars designed to provide our Non-Profit partners with information and resources
  • Designed to equip Non-Profits with the tools they need to survive and thrive
  • Sessions are held in the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber boardroom on the first Thursday of every month from 11:30 AM–1 PM
  • Food and beverages sponsored by Chamber partners who are passionate about supporting our Non-Profits

 FREE Events for Non-Profits

  • In partnership with fellow Chamber organizations, the Non-Profit Task Force will sponsor at least four significant events per year
  • CBRCC Non-Profits participate FREE, to build community awareness and raise funds
  • Events open to all organizations; CBRCC Non-Profit partners exhibit
  • Community is encouraged/invited to attend
  • Sponsorship opportunities available, to underwrite events, and help fund the work of the Non-Profit Task Force
  • Includes perennial favorite Fiesta Brevard, along with events like Music by Moonlight, part of the Cocoa Village Art & Craft Fair

Our new, interactive Non-Profit Web site is coming soon!

  • Comprehensive resource for Chamber partners and the community
  • Identifies and communicates needs of the Non-Profit organizations we serve
  • Organizations post lists of items needed, and donors respond to meet those needs
  • Non-Profits also post their needs for volunteer help, list upcoming events, and link to their own Web sites

Non-Profit Task Force, a Committee of the

Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce

 

Founded by Mary Ann Balthaser in 2004, the Non-Profit Task Force, a committee of the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce, is dedicated to providing a venue that supports our Non-Profit partners in fulfilling their own missions by building community awareness, providing education, and sharing resources. This committee, operated by a volunteer team of Chamber partners – business leaders who care passionately about CBRCC’s Non-Profit community – is focused on fostering relationships among our Non-Profits, as well as with CBRCC’s For-Profit partners. There is strength in numbers, and working together improves the lives and organizations of all involved.

 

In 2005, with the help of dedicated volunteers and Non-Profit partners as co-founders, the first ever Fiesta Brevard was born, as an exciting event designed to educate the community about our Non-Profits' missions. Now, many years later, we continue to celebrate this annual event, on the last Friday of April, with up to 1500 of our closest friends from the Brevard community! Our Non-Profit partners continue to enjoy the opportunity to raise funds, and more importantly to increase community awareness of the important work they do. And our community enjoys the opportunity to come together in celebration and support of these great organizations. It is truly the “feel good” event of the year!

 

In 2009, the Non-Profit Task Force became an official Committee of the Cocoa Beach Area Chamber (the “Chamber with a Heart!”), and continues to serve more than 150 Non-Profit partners.

This committee continues to grow, in partnership with its member organizations, allowing us to further advance the services we provide. Current projects include a comprehensive, interactive Web site that will provide many of the following services:

 

·         “Wish List” of Needs for your Non-Profit Organization

·         “Donations” – List your “give-away” items to share with other Non-Profits

·         Volunteer List – potential volunteers can sign up, and list their interests and skills

·         Document Sharing Resource Center
